It is here….. finally! One of the most anticipated events in the Lake Powell area occurs the first weekend in November every year – Page Lake Powell Hot Air Balloon Regatta. This is the 10th annual regatta!

Parking
This year public parking for the 7:00 a.m. launches will be at the south end of Regatta Field – the old golf course, on the canyon side of Highway 89. In years past visitors could park at the old golf course club house but this year the parking there is being reserved for the pilots, crew, and handicap parking. The public will now enter the parking from Tunnel Road across from the Maverick Gas Station. There is plenty of parking there and has easier access to the main launch areas.
Parking for the vendor fair can be on any of the side streets and the parking in front of the Dam Bar and Grille. The parking lot between National Bank of AZ over to First National along Elm Street will be closed for the fair starting at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Vendor Fair & Balloon Glow
The Page Lake Powell Chamber of Commerce is once again sponsoring the street vendor fair all day Saturday. The street fair will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until 10:00 p.m. The vendor fair starts wrapping up when the balloons go dark around 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There are between 60 and 70 vendors who are scheduled to participate so a bit of something for everyone! The Beer Garden does have a license to operate until 10:00 p.m. Lots of food and beverage options as well as cool stuff to buy!
Starting at 3:00 p.m. Lake Powell Blvd will be closed to traffic to allow the LIFE IS A BALL ROLL. More info
on that coming but the Balls will start rolling around First National Bank and head toward Pizza Hut – All to benefit Coconino Community College. Lake Powell Blvd will be closed from South Navajo to Vista for the duration of the day for the Hot Air Balloon Glow.

Vendors from all over the country come to this annual event and line up along Lake Powell Blvd. creating excitement and filling the air with a buzz. This is all in anticipation of the most beautiful sight of 24 hot air balloons positioned in the middle of the street as the sun goes down. Then it happens! The balloons light up from within against the night sky looking like giant ornaments.
